Ad Hoc Networking: A Flexible Communication Network Without a Central Node

The ad hoc networking functionality of handheld PDAs is primarily based on mesh networking technology, enabling direct communication between devices through multi-hop relays, without relying on base stations or routers. Its core features include:
Multi-hop relaying: Each PDA acts as both a terminal and a relay node, allowing signals to be relayed through multiple nodes, significantly expanding coverage.
